Martin is a Plone developer, a member of Plone’s Framework Team and a writer of various bits of documentation.

During the day, he works for Deloitte MCS, as a technical consultant, evangelising Plone and trying to find out where the next free drinks party is.

He would’ve been an artist on an independent record label had the record label not imploded. Currently, there are some fine songs in his iTunes that may get discovered and released after his death to great critical acclaim. (He is not currently contemplating suicide to speed that process up.)

    Dear Martin,
I am the project leader for developing sites at an important mexican editorial company. I took the decision to implement Plone/Zope framework. We have invested a lot of time implementing them and now they look great. However we have performance and reliability issues. I still belive that we are missing some parameters in the plone/cache-fu/squid/apache configuration, but the bottom line is that upload time and plone performance is dull. On a good day we have +50K pageviews and we are running on big servers. Before we call off the platform I wanted to contat a real expert to make a diagnosis. Can you advice / help. The content of our sites in plone is in spanish… http://www.chilango.com http://www.saludempresarial.com

    Hi Martin,

My name is Amit Shah and I am one of the co-founders of Openads, an open source software company.

We develop open source ad serving software that helps online publishers make money from online advertising.

We would like to make it easy for users of Plone’s CMS to also work with Openads.

Can you help us build easy integration with Plone?

    Regards,

    Amit

Amit - why don’t you contact the plone-users mailing list? See http://plone.org/support. Write a bit about what your platform does, and why you are interested in Plone. I’ll have a look for your question there, and answer as I can, but this way other people can chime in as well and you’re more likely to get help.

    Hello Martin,

We all are impatiently waiting for release of your book.

I understand that exact timetable on programing business is sometimes problem and there are evrey time also lot of more amazing developing work. But getting information from plone.org site is sometimes detective work. So good book from core team expert is very expected source of information.I believe lot of cookbooks are little outdated by 3.0 release.

So as newbie on zope/plone world, to save my effort I decided to wait for book release.

Please, if you are able to estimate more precise date of release, please do it (here or on plone.org).

Thanks and my congrats to participating on elegant
    architecture of zope/plone
